City of STEM + Los Angeles Maker Faire 2024

STEMup4Youth had the privilege of hosting our first paper making workshop at the City of STEM + Los Angeles Maker Faire Los Angeles State Historic Park as part of our Mission Evergreen division. Attendees learned how to make creative crafts from scrap paper and reuse paper waste as an important lesson in sustainability. City of STEM was a major event with very prominent figures such as the Founder of the Maker Movement, Dale Dougherty, and organizations such as PBS. Our volunteers went around and encouraged fair guests to join our workshop. There were many exceptional displays and booths! We were honored to be a part of this large celebration of science and creativity and are excited to do more in promoting the STEM field!
