Cerritos Library 50th Anniversary Celebration
This summer, STEMUp4Youth had the honor of bringing our activities to the community of Cerritos for the Cerritos Library’s Summer Reading Program 50th Anniversary Celebration. We hosted tables covering various STEM concepts, such as structural integrity, potential and kinetic energy, and the science of paint through activities like gumdrop domes, rubber band helicopters, and string pull paintings, respectively. Additionally, Troy Robotics FRC Team 4952 joined us to help teach with our LEGO Robotics kits and present a demo of their robot. Our volunteers had a great experience helping support the celebration and providing hands-on STEM activities to people of all ages at Cerritos Library. It was a delightful experience, and STEMUp4Youth remains committed to providing engaging activities and projects to a wide range of audiences.
